Reviews about VCA Canada Crowfoot Animal Hospital
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Took my new cat for a checkup and dripping eye. She needed to get two of three vacinnation shots (which the vet gave us a slight discount on) She (can't remember who) was attentive, sweet to our cat and very, very detailed and descriptive for us. She explained symtoms, causes, treatment and prevention plans. We discussed food, bathrooms, and day-day living in close detail and this was very appreciated. We left with two medications and a solid plan of action for some minor behavioral problems (skipped the "only available at our clinic" cat food line). I got an email the next day to wish our cat a happy birthday. I can see this being a system flaw (we did not have a birthday date) but it still felt very impersonal. Our next visit didn't go as well as the first. We took her back about 5 weeks later because her behavioral problems were continuing. Urine and blood tests were our next step in order to determine if it was a medical problem. This was really stressful and the staff were cool, fast, and very descriptive again. It did feel a little rushed but it went well under the circumstances and I have no major complaints. The problem arose when the invoice showed up with a charge for a checkup as well as the tests. I inquired about it and the receptionist got hostile right away (maybe I sounded hostile too?) so I brushed the charge off and left. With suddenly going in for another few tests and then an added charge of a checkup (which was not AT ALL as thorough as the first) was very stressful. The followup call was again very thorough. Everything was discussed and more options were presented for behavioral problems. The call lasted about 45 minutes. Overall, I didn't have any major experiences here but I will be finding a new vet for next years checkup. The prices are just too high and it was lackluster. The vets are knowledgeable but impersonal. My cat is not fixed. Not worth the price for the experience. Too expensive but not bad.by Jessica OliverOctober 12, 2017
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Dr. Steve is very competent and caring. I have autism (high level) and had no trouble understanding him; he was very direct. which I appreciate. My husband found him to be very competent and compassionate. Dr. Steve got back to us by phone several times and went above and beyond the call of duty. It meant a lot. The Crowfoot sent our family a beautiful flower when our dog died and it meant so much. Dr. Keith is a very compassionate and competent vet as well and was very kind when I had to put down my cat CatBert due to illness. He took the time to explain things, was patient, listened, and it made all the difference. Thank you. The receptionists are kind and professional; it is obvious that they care. Thank you.by Cobbleshoes ElfwoodMarch 23, 2017
